About me
I’m Frode Børli — a software developer and entrepreneur from Norway. I’ve spent my career building products, running companies, and, more recently, returning to research.
I’m happiest at the intersection of engineering and real-world problems: figuring out what to build, then building it well. The thread running through everything I do is video, the web, and software that people depend on every day.
A short timeline
-
2003
Founded my first company. Started a web-development company with three friends, building a content management system and a range of side projects.
-

Began a master’s degree. Started part-time studies in computer science at UiT, alongside running the business.
-
2008
Built a video-streaming product. Developed an early video-streaming platform as a side project — ahead of its time.
-

Founded CompanyCasts AS. Left my first company, taking the video technology with me to start a video-streaming SaaS for political meetings in Norway.
-
